QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to asking that all summer staff have finished high school and are 18 years old, we also require:

  • Relationship with Jesus Christ which reflects His love outward into the world.

  • Willingness to work hard, demonstrating a heart that desires to serve.

  • Team player, flexible and willing to shift to another role when asked and/or needed.

  • Responsible and reliable, performing with excellence at all times.

2025 START & END DATES

Start and end dates vary based on the applicant. These will be decided and communicated on an individual basis, but will range from early June through early September. It is not required for applicants to stay the entire season.

Start Dates: Start dates vary depending on the position, but the majority of staff will start mid-June with Staff Retreat.

End Dates: End dates vary based on our needs and your availability. Priority may be given to applicants who are available for the full summer season through Labor Day.

COMPENSATION

Salary: Monthly salary ranges from $1,300-$1,500 dependent on how many summers you have served as an employee at Cascades. All lodging and meals are provided.

First Three to Apply: The first three applicants who schedule an interview will receive a Cascades merch pack that includes a hoodie or jacket, a water bottle or mug, and stickers to get you pumped for the coming summer.

Early Application Bonus: Submit an application, turn in references, and schedule an interview by January 1st and receive $100 credit to use at our espresso stand, gift store, and canteen retail spaces. Submit an application, turn in references, and schedule an interview by March 1st and receive $50 in retail credit. Credit cannot be exchanged for cash.

Refer a Friend Bonus: If you worked on summer staff between 2022-2024, refer a friend who has never attended a Cascades event or previously been on staff. A $200 cash bonus per friend will be given at the beginning of the summer to the referrer, once their friend applies and mentions the referrer in their application, proceeds through the hiring process, is hired, and works on summer staff in 2025 for a minimum of 6 weeks. - No limit. 

Mid Season Bonus: Stay with us through the end of the day August 9th and work a minimum of 6 weeks to receive a $200 cash bonus.

Long Haul Bonus: Stay through the end of day September 1st and work a minimum of 9 weeks to receive an additional $400 cash bonus at the end of your summer employment season. This bonus is added to the Mid Season Bonus for a total of $600. This bonus will be retracted if the recipient does not return completed hiring paperwork within the requested time frame.

Summer Staff Salary Grant: Cascades understands that financial circumstances can sometimes pose a barrier to employment in ministry or non-profit settings. In response, we have established a grant program designed to assist individuals who wish to contribute to the mission of Cascades, but face financial hardship. This supplementary grant serves as a one-time payment, intended to complement the recipient's salary, and is provided in addition to room, board, and other incentives.
